Softcamp aims to become a global No.1 SECaaS company

As the company's infrastructure moves quickly to cloud from on-premise, security also needs to be changed. However, most Korean security companies still make money from on-premises products. It is difficult to find a leading domestic company in the cloud security market, which will be the core field in the future.
Softcamp aims to become a global No.1 SECaaS company celebrating its 20th anniversary with 'Cloud Security' as its vision to lead the company. For the first step, the company signed a cloud business agreement with Japanese partner AZTI earlier this year. Zimbra Collaboration Cloud (ZCC), a cloud mail service jointly planned by Zimbra Japan and AZTI, provides Softcamp’s Secure Email Gateway. And Softcamp has recently proposed cloud document security services to enterprises such as ADT CAPS and S1 making progress toward its goal.
“Cloud business should be done with different marketing approach from traditional on-premises.” CEO Bae said. Instead of taking the brand image of a Korean company, he would like to provide software tailored to the local circumstance and to form partnerships with global companies. Softcamp plans to strengthen its cloud business by indirectly entering into alliances with overseas companies.
